Dennis Smith Jr., already ruled out for Tuesday and without a timetable for a return, is visiting a doctor to help determine the severity of his hip injury according to Mavs radio host Mike Peasley.
The Mavs have said that their top priority is Smith’s health so he could be looking at substantial time on the sidelines here. Depending on the diagnosis, it may be time to consider a drop. DSJ certainly hasn’t earned a role on your fantasy roster with his play, and it’s probably the lofty acquisition cost that has him hanging around on so many teams. Yogi Ferrell will start at point guard but J.J. Barea will be the better fantasy play, though you can easily make a case for either player to be added. Devin Harris will also see more time but isn’t a great fantasy option.
