• Shortly after Doc Rivers said that Austin Rivers was a coin toss to play on Friday, the younger Rivers said that he’ll be active and playing.

There’s a long list of players who say they’re playing and get held out anyway, so we wouldn’t necessarily take Austin at his word here. The Clippers are starving for backcourt depth tonight, however, so if there’s one they might ask him to push through it’d be this one. Tossing out two rookies against the Thunder could be a recipe for disaster as well as completely unfair to the youngsters. Lou Williams should have a high-usage night either way. Rivers is a back-end player in standard leagues who can probably be dropped for healthier options right now.
