Austin Rivers (strained right glute) will “be out for a while” according to coach Doc Rivers.
The season starts in two weeks so don’t expect Rivers to be playing in the preseason. Rivers will likely be the Clips’ starting shooting guard when he returns and he could be in store for his best year yet. With Chris Paul gone, the Clippers are lacking in playmakers in the backcourt, which is where Rivers shines. He’ll likely take the second most shots on the team behind Blake Griffin and he’s still only 25 years old, so he could be in store for a breakout year.
