Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Domantas Sabonis is dealing with a "significant" foot injury, and will be leaving the bubble to see a specialist for treatment.
Sabonis had been dealing with plantar fasciitis that had kept him out for about a week, but the diagnosis must have seriously worsened to force his exit from the Orlando bubble. He'll be forced to quarantine before he is able to reappear in games for the Pacers. We need to learn more about the situation, but the cryptic tweet from Wojnarowski is a serious cause for concern. For however long Sabonis is absent the Pacers will turn to Myles Turner (calf), who should receive a significant boost for as long as Sabonis is out. The team will also shift more minutes to Goga Bitadze (knee), and scoring opportunities will pour into TJ Warren and Malcolm Brogdon. JaKarr Sampson started the first scrimmage and has a fair shot at the starting slot when the games matter, but we could also see minutes heading towards Doug McDermott and TJ Leaf.
