Dr. James Andrews visited with Jimmy Butler and determined that there were “no issues” in his left knee according to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, and later the Bulls would release a statement that he will resume workouts and return “when appropriate.”
This is great news and the next step for owners is to get a timetable on his return. The Bulls need him back and with all the focus on his knee there will probably be a lot of reporting on the issue, as well as a lot of caution from all parties in Chicago. In the meantime Pau Gasol, E’Twaun Moore and Derrick Rose all stare at a hit to their production whenever Butler returns.
