Hornets forward Nic Batum (elbow) will not require surgery according to the Charlotte Observer.
The Hornets say Batum will miss a minimum to 4-6 weeks and Batum himself said, “max of three months.” So there is your timetable, 4-12 weeks, not exactly specific. Somewhere in the middle is a good bet so 6-8 weeks is reasonable, putting him on track to return late November. The forward is a perfect candidate for your IR spot, but if your league doesn’t have one then it will cost you a bench spot for around 25 games. In the meantime Jeremy Lamb is the biggest beneficiary and should be added in most leagues.
Hornets say Nicolas Batum is expected to be out 6-8 weeks with a tear of the ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow. No surgery needed.
