Eric Gordon refractured his surgically repaired ring finger in Saturday’s loss to the Jazz.
It has been that kind of year for both Gordon and the Pelicans. In the post-game interview, Alvin Gentry speculated that the injury will sideline Gordon for 6-8 weeks. With only six weeks remaining in the regular season, and the Pelicans currently 6.5 games back of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, it’s safe to assume that Gordon will be out for the remainder of the season. It has been that kind of year for the Pelicans, as they have 183 man games missed due to injury. Norris Cole has been playing extremely well and this injury cements his role and minutes. If he is still on your waiver wire, go ahead and pick him up.
