• ESPN’s Michael Wallace reported on Thursday that part of Pat Riley’s pitch has been “an optimistic view” of Chris Bosh’s (blood clots) return.

Bosh and the Heat “continue to work toward to the goal” of having him “available at the start of training camp.”   There are still qualifiers in this language but the fact that Riley is even going there suggests they believe he will be ready to go and that’s great news for both Bosh and fans of basketball.  It also creates a new wrinkle for the Heat to put them back into the upper echelon of teams from a roster standpoint, and that’s helpful in free agent negotiations as one could imagine.
