Evan Fournier left Wednesday’s game late in the fourth quarter after rolling his ankle, finishing with 27 points on 12-of-21 shooting (including two threes) with four rebounds and two steals in 41 minutes.
Fournier landed on Nik Vucevic’s heel and is going to be in tough to return with under five minutes left in this one. Anything other than a minor injury would gut the Magic’s depth on the wings, so hopefully Fournier isn’t looking at something serious here. Frank Vogel would have to turn to some unorthodox lineups if his starting two guard was to miss time.
Update: No fracture for Fournier but some time off could easily be in the works. Make sure that Jonathon Simmons isn’t sitting on the wire in your league as he was already a late-round guy prior to this injury.
X-rays to Evan Fournier's injured right ankle showed no fracture, Frank Vogel said.
