George Hill revealed that he won’t need offseason surgery to fix the toe injury that cost him 16 games this year, per Jody Genessy of the Deseret News.
Hill missed 36 games in total this year but was fantastic whenever he was on the court. Unfortunately for the Jazz, three of those came in the playoffs after he aggravated his toe while trying to dunk. Hill also said that doctors wanted him to take more time off the first time he hurt his toe but pushed back into action. He had been able to avoid injuries for the most part prior to this season so it shouldn’t hurt him on the free agent market at all. The Jazz would like to re-sign the point guard but he should be in somewhat high demand. He was a great per-game player in fantasy this past year and would’ve turned in excellent profit for owners if not for the missed games. We’ll see where he lands next season.
