Aaron Gordon (strained right calf) and Evan Fournier (right ankle sprain) have been ruled out for Saturday’s game with Jonathan Isaac (sprained right ankle) and Aaron Afflalo (back spasms) listed as questionable.
We are still waiting on Aaron Gordon’s MRI results but Orlando’s season is quickly running away from them as they have now lost 15 of their last 18 games after starting the year 7-3. If all of the aforementioned players are out for Sunday’s game, expect Mario Hezonja, Wes Iwundu and Shelvin Mack to all pick up extra minutes again. Hezonja is playing decent with 9.3 points, 0.7 steals, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 triples in 29.0 minutes over his last three and Iwundu has played 25.9 minutes over his last three but hasn’t really produced in any category. Isaac has missed the last 17 games but it seems like he is nearing a return. He should be on the standard league radar and a stash candidate as he averaged 0.7 steals and 1.2 blocks in only 19.9 minutes before going down. He will likely be on a minute restriction at first but once fully healthy, there is no reason he won’t be playing at least 25 minutes per game.
