Jerami Grant (concussion) is expected to return to action this weekend, Richaun Holmes (Achilles) is expected to return for a West Coast trip starting on March 21, and Robert Covington’s (concussion) status is still barely being updated by the Sixers.
The only real timetable we have on Covington is that based on a previous report he was supposed to return faster than Holmes. For those of you fighting for your playoff lives, you may want to count this week as a zero for Covington and maybe some of next week, too. Grant’s return will normalize the frontcourt situation and put Carl Landry and Elton Brand back into waiver wire status. Grant had been trending toward must-own status with all the minutes he was set to get, and he gets one four-game week next week before the Sixers’ schedule devolves into a pair of three-gamers that will likely make him as a substandard asset in 12-team formats.
