Greivis Vasquez is concentrating on getting in shape physically and may not make the final Venezuelan roster for the Rio Olympics.
Vasquez underwent ankle surgery in December that cost him the remainder of the 15/16 season. He was set to return in April but with the Bucks already eliminated from the playoffs, they elected to keep him out. He has played in only one of the four friendlies Venezuela has played so far, with the coach indicating that Vasquez may not yet be in game shape. Even if he were to miss the Olympics, there has been no indication that he wouldn’t be ready in time for training camp. Saturday is the deadline to submit the final roster so we should know more then.
