Whiteside has been doing more conditioning and on-court work while reportedly feeling less pain every day. That’s good news for the big man, who has been sidelined for 11 straight games. His return might bounce rookie Bam Adebayo, who has been a deep league value as a fill-in starter, from the rotation. Miami has been rolling with a frontcourt of Kelly Olynyk and Adebayo of late, and KO’s strong play should keep his role (or at least his minutes) steady no matter what. We wouldn’t get too excited about a potential Whiteside return until he gets some practices in.
