Whiteside was originally given a 1-2 week timetable with a knee bone bruise but blew past that and never got a second timeframe. The Heat have talked a lot about the progress he had been making and it appears as though the big man could return this week. It’s been a lot of time on the sidelines so he won’t jump right back into full minutes, but he figures to push Bam Adebayo out of the starting five shortly after his return. The rookie is going to fall off the map outside of deep league in that case, though the team has floated the idea of two-center lineups when Whiteside comes back. Kelly Olynyk‘s ability to stretch the floor should keep his role relatively safe, and he’s a hold in all formats.
