The initial plan for Hassan Whiteside (knee) is to limit him to 20 minutes per game according to coach Erik Spoelstra.
Whiteside played just under 18 minutes in his return from a one month absence on Tuesday. “It was different,” he said of Tuesday’s return. “I’m definitely getting back into the swing of things. The game’s fast. It felt like the beginning of the season for me or something. It felt like something new. I feel pretty good. I feel at least 90 something [percent]. I got my brace on. We’ll get used to playing with the brace.” Spoelstra plans to utilize all three of Whiteside, Adebayo and Olynyk together moving forward making them appealing in standard 12-team formats for now. James Johnson’s impending return may alter that so it’s something to keep an eye on.
