Iman Shumpert was diagnosed with a left foot sprain on Thursday and was projected to be ready to play in about 7-to-10 days.
This puts a questionable tag on him for Friday’s preseason finale against the Magic and projects him to be ready for the start of the season on Tuesday, October 17. Just like last season, Shumpert will be asked to guard some of the more athletic point guards in the league and will be one of the first players off the bench. He was relevant in 12-14 team leagues last year while J.R. Smith was injured but he is back off the fantasy radar to start this season, especially with the acquisition of Dwyane Wade.
