Zach LaVine is nearing a return, and Vincent Goodwill of NBCSports Chicago reports that it could come after a run of six straight practices that would kick off on December 30th. while coach Fred Hoiberg said “yeah, something like that” when asked if January 13th would be the night for LaVine’s Bulls debt.
While the six practices at the end of the month put him right around mid-January, Hoiberg was asked about the 13th since that’s Zach LaVine bobblehead night . This is no sure thing by any means, as each practice gives LaVine’s knee or back a chance to work up, but he’s most certainly ramping up for a return. It might take a couple weeks for him to get back to full speed but he shouldn’t be on any waiver wires right now. LaVine will have tons of shots and touches headed his way, though the suddenly-streaking Bulls probably won’t feel pressure to totally disrupt their rotations on his behalf.
