• Jaylen Brown suffered a leg injury in the second half of the Christmas Day loss and was limping noticeably afterwards inside the locker room.

Brown’s injury wasn’t entirely clear, but he appeared to bang knees with Markieff Morris under the basket. In his post-game press conference, Brad Stevens said he had no updates on Brown’s injury or his condition. Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn noted that Jabari Bird will be with the team for their game against the Hornets on Wednesday in case Brown can’t play. Owners should expect an update later today as Celtics officials said they would likely have a better idea prior to the team’s departure for Charlotte. Marcus Smart will likely replace Brown in the lineup in case he misses any time while Terry Rozier and Shane Larkin should handle the rest of the minutes left in the Celtics’ backcourt.
