Jimmy Butler took a trip to see Dr. James Andrews to get a second opinion about his knee.
“He’s going to go down and see Dr. Andrews down in Alabama today, just to get a second opinion on the knee,” Hoiberg said. “So (Thursday) he won’t play. We’ll hopefully get some news tomorrow and then confer with everybody and get a plan together.’’ Meeting with Dr. Andrews has been a bit of a death sentence in the past, but Mo Williams was able to return to the floor before he quickly left the floor again. Okay, that’s not making anybody feel better. Surely he has done consultative work that hasn’t resulted in bad news, and the Bulls seem to be somewhat optimistic about things even if the vibe hasn’t exactly been 100 percent great. As we’ve noted many times in the past, the guys that take the hit when Butler returns are Pau Gasol, and then Derrick Rose’s value becomes extremely stretched, and E’Twaun Moore gets knocked out of standard leagues.
