Jeff Hornacek confirmed that Joakim Noah is dealing with a sore right shoulder.
Hornacek continued, ““He’s had it looked at… There’s just some little stuff in there. When he lifts his arm in one certain way he feels it and sometimes it’s on rebounds. That’s why he didn’t jump center last game.” Not only have the Knicks lost nine of their last 11 games, but now Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis and Joakim Noah all appear to have lingering injuries that may require them to take occasional games off.
Porzingis’ (Achilles) injury flared up again during the last game and he is expected to miss Saturday’s practice and remained questionable for Sunday’s game against the Raptors. Hornacek said, “We try and leave it up to him and see if he can play and go through it. But he’s not able to.” Whenever Noah misses a game, be ready to give Kyle O’Quinn a look. If Porzingis misses any games, then Carmelo moves up to the four and Lance Thomas gets some run, but is not worth fantasy consideration.
