• Joel Embiid went to the locker room in the third quarter of Friday’s game against the Blazers and is questionable to return.

This didn’t look good but he jogged to the locker room so hopefully it’s not a big deal.  Stay tuned.

Update: It’s a left knee contusion and he would return toward the end of the third quarter.

Update II: Embiid hasn’t really walked it off yet and he’s headed back to the locker room. Stay tuned once again.

Update III: He has been ruled out for the rest of the game.  We’ll call him day-to-day until we learn more.

Update IV: Brown says it was hyperextended, he returned and tweaked it again.  This doesn’t sound all that precautionary but we’ll still call him day-to-day.

Update V: Embiid says his knee is fine and he had an MRI.  We’ll probably continue to call him day-to-day and not take the word of the boisterous player.

Update VI: Embiid isn’t traveling for Saturday’s game and that’s not surprising because it’s a back-to-back, and he doesn’t expect to miss Tuesday’s game.  Brett Brown said more information will be provided as they get it so this is still a bit murky, but trending toward less serious.
