Sixers center Joel Embiid (knee) will sit out the next two preseason games according to Keith Pompey.
Embiid will miss games against the Grizzlies and Celtics this week. No news of any setback so this is just a continuation of the precaution the Sixers have shown all offseason with the big man. He should be good to go for the season opener, but it remains to be seen if there will be a minutes restriction this season. There are much safer options in the first few rounds of your draft, but if the center can stay healthy he is likely to return close to first round numbers this season. His per-36 was good for sixth overall last season, but 36 minutes a night seems a little optimistic.
