Joel Embiid has undergone surgery for his orbital fracture on Saturday, and he could return in two weeks.
It's an optimistic timeline that assumes he'll be cleared of concussion symptoms by then, but it sounds like his return will depend a lot on his own pain tolerance. We'll see if the Sixers try to push him back in their battle for playoff seeding, though earlier reports of him potentially returning early in the first round might be encouraging enough that they focus on getting him healthy for that matchup rather than rush him back to jockey for the fourth spot. Richaun Holmes remains the pickup of choice even though Amir Johnson will be drawing the starts.
