Joel Embiid recently told ESPN that he’ll be back on the court in two to three weeks as he recovers from surgery for a torn left menisucs.
Embiid underwent surgery on March 24th, and this is the first real update since. A return in two weeks would mean his recovery took 10 weeks, and he should be ready to go for training camp. He was shut down in late January, ending a fantastic rookie campaign. Embiid took the league by storm but unfortunately missed too many games to be seriously considered for major awards and likely cost Philly an outside shot at the playoff chase as well. That injury risk will also make him one of the most compelling cases to track for fantasy purposes next year, as the potential for lots of missed time is paired with undeniable upside.
