According to Candace Buckner of the Post, John Wall sprained his ankle in Game 1 of the Wizards’ second round series with the Celtics and didn’t participate in shootaround today, but neither that nor the wrist he fell on will keep him out of action Thursday.
If the ankle injury occurred all the way back on Sunday, it’s clearly not severe enough to keep Wall out of action. It’s something to watch for sure, thought there’s little to no chance that Wall misses any time barring a re-aggravation. He hasn’t even been on the injury report, so missing shootaround is likely a tactic to save him some wear and tear. The Wizards will look to defend home court after dropping a pair in Boston.
