Jonas Valanciunas (ankle) was seen limping in the locker room following Saturday’s Game 3 win over the Heat and coach Dwane Casey called him day-to-day.
Valanciunas now becomes a pivotal player — even though that should have already been the case — with Hassan Whiteside’s (knee) series in doubt. The actual health of his ankle notwithstanding, the Raps could choose to play things either safe or aggressive and an argument can be made for both. Either go for the jugular or make sure you get a solid Games 5-7 out of the big man. If Whiteside can’t play going forward, it will be even more of a travesty if the guards can’t get him the ball against the Heat’s tremendously small lineup.
Dwane Casey says Valanciunas day-to-day. Nothing structural.

Jonas Valanciunas right ankle is swollen. He couldn't wear his right dress shoe post game. He'll be reassessed Sunday. Day-to-day. #Raptors
