Projected first round pick Jonathan Jeanne was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome, a potentially career-ending disorder as reported by The Vertical.
With his towering 7’2 stature and athleticism, Jeanne was projected to be selected late in the first round. Marfan Syndrome is a genetic disorder that affects connective tissue, and it’s the same one that Isaiah Austin was diagnosed with in 2014. Austin was cleared to play in 2016, so for now it looks as if Jeanne will have to put his NBA dreams on hold. He been playing professionally overseas since 2013 and will be undergoing further medical supervision.
