Jusuf Nurkic revealed to The Oregonian’s Joe Freeman that he thinks his leg will be fully healed in 2-3 months.
It’s a wonder that Nurkic even played in Game 3 on his leg, which he fractured late in the season. He should be a popular target next season having finally been freed from Denver’s crowded roster. An unleashed Nurkic was able to average 15.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.9 blocks in his 20 games with Portland. The defensive numbers might come down a bit over a full 82 games of work, but the other numbers look fine and might even have room to grow. The trade was great for him and the Blazers, who have a legitimate post presence with decent playmaking abilities to complement their star guard duo.
