Jusuf Nurkic left for the locker room during the fourth quarter of Wednesday’s tight game against the Sixers and did not return.
Nurkic finished with five points, five boards, two steals and four blocks in 16 minutes and the local paper has nothing about the situation in any of their postgame write-ups. He has had knee issues and other than that it has seemed like maybe he had worked through his conditioning and consistency problems in the eyes of Michael Malone. Regardless, his upside is apparent and with no bad report after the game owners should probably treat this as a nuisance injury since a bet on Nurkic is a bet on his upside anyway. He won’t be a safe play for the rest of the year but as you can see the upside justifies the risk.
