Though he was originally expected to sit out the contest as a precaution, Kemba Walker started the NBA Africa game.
Walker was allegedly going to miss the game but still show up for the event after undergoing another knee surgery after the season. He was medically cleared earlier in the week to play and decided to give it a go. Given that the surgery occurred close to the end of Charlotte’s season and the game today isn’t all that intense, it’s a good opportunity for him to start shaking rust off. Walker should be ready for the regular season we’re he’ll continue to roll along as an early-round value.
