Kentavious Caldwell-Pope left Thursday’s game and will get X-rays after colliding with a Zaza Pachulia screen and re-injuring his left shoulder.
KCP played four minutes and did not return. Stanley Johnson could see a lot more minutes than Stan Van Gundy probably wants and we’d be looking at Ish Smith as the best fantasy beneficiary of any missed time. In 8-cat leagues that might be enough to think about a speculative add, but this injury is fresh and if it’s truly day-to-day then it could be a wasted transaction. Stay tuned.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was already experiencing soreness in left shoulder. After taking shot from Zaza in same area, he's getting X-ray.

Update: X-rays are negative and that would support more of a day-to-day injury, but at a minimum this injury is going to be on our radar going forward.
KCP has a sore left shoulder. X-rays were negative, but he's not returning. #Pistons

Update: KCP will get an MRI in Salt Lake City on Friday. It’s fair to wonder if the Pistons and KCP don’t know how serious the injury is. We’re going to stay open to this being a possible week-to-week injury and if you want to take a chance on Smith in an 8-cat league you have our blessing, but weigh your options of course. He probably has top-125 upside in an expanded backup role.
MRI for KCP in SLC tomorrow but for now #Pistons say it's sore left shoulder .. X-rays were negative
