Kevin Love has been informed that he will not be medically cleared to play in Wednesday night’s Game 3 against the Warriors.
Love is still in the league’s concussion protocol after being elbowed in the back of the head during Game 2. While he’s out look for Richard Jefferson to replace Love in the starting lineup for Game 3. Jefferson wore a red starters jersey during shootaround this morning and has been rumored to see an increased role with Cavs hoping to jump start their offense. For what it’s worth, Love did participate in portions of Wednesday’s shootaround, which technically fulfilled the protocol requirement that a player practices before he plays, so there’s a chance he’ll be ready by Game 4.
