Kevon Looney (hamstring strain) has been ruled out of Saturday's preseason opener vs. the Lakers.
Looney tweaked his hamstring in Wednesday's practice and as a result will miss the team's first preseason game. It didn't seem like his injury was serious as there were reports that he rode the stationary bicycle after practice ended on Wednesday. The Warriors are likely being cautious with Looney as they will already start the season without starting center, Willie Cauley-Stein, who is dealing with a left foot sprain. With Alen Smailagić dealing with an ankle sprain as well, the Warriors are likely to play Omari Spellman, Marquese Chriss, and Eric Paschall at the center position on Saturday. Spellman could have some late-round appeal in fantasy drafts while Chriss and Paschall are players to watch.
