Jeff Hornacek says Kristaps Porzingis (sore Achilles) will play on Friday.
After stating that he wanted to play all 82 games this season, Porzingis proceeded to miss the next three, but now that he is back, Knicks fans and fantasy owners alike could not be happier. There is speculation he will only play limited minutes, but the Knicks are in the midst of a six game losing streak and it will be very difficult for Hornacek to limit him as the Knicks are desperate for his presence right now. His return takes away any fantasy value that Lance Thomas has accumulated as Carmelo Anthony will shift back down to the small forward role.
Hornacek said he would monitor Porzingis' minutes.
