Kristaps Porzingis (leg) was limited in Monday’s practice and he is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Nuggets.
The Knicks are going to be very careful with their franchise player and along with Kurt Rambis’ unwillingness to cut him loose there will be some unhappy fantasy owners. We’re still fairly optimistic about the rest of his season, though, provided this news doesn’t suddenly spin out of control. The calls to play a healthy Porzingis heavy minutes will be deafening and he will be able to back it up with strong play. We’re not convinced he will fail to become an early round asset down the stretch. Derrick Williams wasn’t good in fill-in duty and Kyle O’Quinn might be a better play for the desperate if he can’t go on Tuesday.
