Kyle Kuzma (left foot stress reaction) has been ruled out of Tuesday's season opener.

This isn't a shocker considering Kuzma has yet to be cleared for contact. He is still participating in non-contact half-court drills, but has no firm timetable to return.

Reggie Bullock

SG-SF, New York Knicks

Reggie Bullock (cervical disc herniation) has been cleared for non-contact drills but will not be re-evaluated until early December.

Bullock's recovery has gone rather slowly, but at least there is a tentative timetable in place. He can help as a role player, but the Knicks are a mess and it's not worth holding your breath for his return.

Kz Okpala

F, Miami Heat

KZ Okpala will not play on Thursday due to left Achilles tendinitis.

Okpala hasn't played since late October. He has defensive upside but is not worthy of fantasy consideration at this juncture.

Derrick Jones Jr.

SF, Miami Heat

Derrick Jones Jr. will miss Thursday’s game due to a left hip injury.

Jones has missed about a week with this issue. So far, the Heat have not given him enough playing time to merit a fantasy roster spot. Duncan Robinson and, when healthy, Justise Winslow will continue to soak up DJJ’s vacated minutes.

James Johnson

PF, Miami Heat

James Johnson is listed as probable to play on Thursday.

Johnson missed Tuesday's game but appears to be on the mend. He could benefit if Goran Dragic or Tyler Herro can't play but overall is not worth using in fantasy.

Justise Winslow

SF, Miami Heat

Justise Winslow will miss Thursday’s game as he remains in concussion protocol.

Winslow suffered the head injury on November 5 and there is no timetable for his return. It has been a frustrating start to the season for his owners, but he was putting up top 100 value before getting hurt and is still worth holding onto. However, most of his production came without Jimmy Butler on the floor and Winslow’s fantasy value is reliant on high usage, so don’t be surprised if he remains outside the top 100 moving forward.

Zach LaVine

PG, Chicago Bulls

Zach LaVine had treatment for his ankle on Wednesday but is expected to face the Bucks on Thursday.

LaVine rolled the ankle on Tuesday but remained in the game. It’s positive news that he is on schedule to play. LaVine is averaging 20.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists so far after a slow start. Continue to monitor this injury, but he should be in all lineups.

Otto Porter Jr.

SF, Chicago Bulls

Otto Porter will not play on Thursday due to a left foot sprain.

Porter last played on November 6. However, Jim Boylen said that he has shown some improvement. Hopefully, he won’t miss much more time, but it’s concerning that Porter has already dealt with a foot injury, some hip discomfort, and a minutes restriction in the first month of the season. If you’re a risk-averse manager, you should test the market as soon as he strings together some good games. Chandler Hutchison looks like the next in line to absorb Porter’s minutes, but he’s not a fantasy option outside of deep leagues.

Iman Shumpert

SG, Brooklyn Nets

The Nets are expected to sign free agent Iman Shumpert.

Shumpert is unlikely to have a major role, but it's worth noting that Caris LeVert has been visiting thumb specialists. In any case, the Nets had a roster spot available until mid-December when Wilson Chandler returns from suspension.

Tyler Herro

PG, Miami Heat

Tyler Herro is questionable to face the Cavs on Thursday due to an ankle injury.

Justise Winslow definitely won't play, so the Heat could be very thin if Herro and Dragic are unavailable. Duncan Robinson should play even more heavily in that scenario.

Goran Dragic

PG, Miami Heat

Goran Dragic is considered questionable to play on Thursday due to illness.

Justise Winslow has already been ruled out with a concussion. Dragic has been a bright spot for the Heat so far, but we’ll have to see if he is able to face the Cavs. If he misses time, Kendrick Nunn would have a stranglehold on the PG minutes and we might see Daryl Macon jump into the mix.
