The Celtics have ruled Kyrie Irving out of Monday’s game with a left quad contusion.
This one comes out of nowhere, though it’s worth noting that Irving did struggle in his last outing. This may also be a glorified rest day with the East-leading Celtics taking on the lowly Bulls on a back-to-back. Marcus Smart, Terry Rozier and Shane Larkin all get a bump tonight, with Smart and Rozier the only ones you should feel comfortable using in fantasy. Irving probably won’t be out long but we’ll hear more after the game and when the Celtics return home on Tuesday.
