Bulls rookie Lauri Markkanen (tendinitis) did not practice on Wednesday and is listed as day-to-day.
This puts Markanen’s chances of playing on Friday against the Pacers in question. Check back Friday after shootaround for the final word. The rookie has been solid to start the year with averages of 15.8 points, 8.2 boards, 1.2 assists and 2.7 3-pointers per game. Thats a major steal in for where he was probably drafted (or not). However, this has mainly been without Bobby Portis (suspension) or Nikola Mirotic (face) in the lineup. Mirtoic is likely to be dealt, but Portis could be here to stay after the 22-year-old posted 21 points and 13 boards in 24 minutes on Tuesday night. Mark still played 29 minutes so there should be enough for both players going forward, although Mark’s value does take a small dip with Portis’ return.
