Both Delon Wright and Lucas Nogueira are progressing from their injuries, and Wright may be able to play as soon as this weekend (or even tonight) according to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg.
Wright dislocated his shoulder a month ago and this lines up with the initial speculated timeline. He’s hurt because the Raptors didn’t get a ton of practice time over the past week, so he might be pushed back into early next week if the team wants to play it very safe. Wright is a nice deep league play because of his defensive abilities but he’ll now need to unseat Fred VanVleet, who has performed well as the backup point guard in his absence. The two are likely to split time based on matchups and whoever has the hot hand. Bebe, on the other hand, has likely fallen well behind Jakob Poeltl in the backup center job. He’s a stat magnet himself but has always had trouble staying on the floor.
