Gasol has been limited to non-contact work thus far and has yet to scrimmage with his teammates, though it doesn’t sound like a long-term issue. He sustained the injury at EuroBasket but is just focused on getting back to 100 percent, saying “We don’t want to go back at 75 percent or 80 percent. We want to be at 100. … High ankle sprains are a little bit more painful and more weird to play through.” Coach David Fizdale confirmed that Gasol would be good to go for the opener, so feel free to draft him the early rounds as usual.
