• Marcus Smart (hand) is expected to practice next went with the intent to play on Friday against the Pistons.

The Celtics have been swooning a bit without Smart, losing 5-of-10 and three in a row. Though he’s only had top-200 value on the year due to his notoriously bad shooting (35.7 percent), he was on the cusp of standard league in the week before he mixed it up with the picture frame. He’s better in points leagues or if you’re punting field goal percentage, but the Celtics need his defense urgently, and he could hold low-end 9-cat value the rest of the season.
