Marcus Smart is reportedly dealing with a sprained thumb, though it’s not clear if it’s an injury that he’ll be able to play through or if it will require time on the sidelines.
The hits keep coming for the Celtics. Smart started on Sunday but if he’s out the role will fall to either Shane Larkin or Terry Rozier. Rozier remains the best fantasy play of all the Celtics guards while Kyrie Irving is down but becomes even more appealing if he’s thrust into the starting role. It’s fair to question how much Smart’s value is adversely affected if he can play through the pain — he was already a major drag on your shooting and should still be able to rack up steals. We’ll wait for more word from the team.
