An ankle injury kept Markieff Morris out of practice on Tuesday, but will not keep him out of Wednesday’s game against the Hornets.
Morris participated in shootaround on Wednesday and will assume his usual 25-30 minute role for the Wizards. After coming off an injury at the beginning of the year the big man has slowly but surely gotten better. Over the last month he has averaged 10.7 points, 7.5 boards, 1.1 assists on 50.8 percent from the field and 80.0 percent from the stripe. These numbers are still a far cry from his top-75 finish last season, but increased depth in the frontcourt has capped him and will continue to do so. There is hope the veteran could still crack the top-100 for rest of season if he continues to improve.
Update: Markieff Morris will be in the starting lineup.
