Michael Carter-Williams expects to be cleared for contact sometime next week, according to Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer.
Carter-Williams had Platelet-Rich Plasma injections in both knees to promote healing of patella tears back in July. The procedure has limited him to non-contact drills for the first week of training camps, but the 6’6″ point guard said he is ready to compete. “I’ll start going live next week. I’m feeling good,” said Carter-Williams. MCW figures to have little no value in standard leagues for as long as he remains a backup to Kemba Walker.
