Meyers Leonard, after going through shoulder surgery last season, says that he’s hopeful to return by the start of the 2016-2017 season.
“It’s a progression, first introducing rebounding, grabbing stuff overhead, then one-on-one, three-on-three, extending to the full court,” Leonard said. “We’ll see. You just never know.” The Blazers won’t rush Leonard’s return, especially after re-signing the forward to a four-year, $41 million deal. Leonard has the potential to be a nice fantasy asset, but with the recently acquired depth and the possibility of the team re-signing Moe Harkless, he may not be able to showcase that potential.
