Mirza Teletovic (illness) has been ruled out indefinitely due to pulmonary emboli in his lungs.
Teletovic is still recovering from knee surgery so this is another blow on top of it. He will rest for 10 days before entering a rehabilitation program.
February 26, 2020, 11:04 pmEvan FournierSF, Orlando Magic
Evan Fournier scored a team-high 28 points (11-of-18 from the floor) on Wednesday, adding five assists, three steals and two triples in 35 minutes.
Fournier is a top-75 player on the season thanks to his contributions in points and threes on strong efficiency. He's been slightly better the past month, posting top-60 value in 9-cat leagues. He should remain inside the top-75 ROS and his teammate Terrence Ross (14 points and three triples in 27 minutes on Wednesday) is another points and threes specialist but doesn't have the ceiling that Fournier does. Ross is on the cusp of top-130 value over the past month and is a fine hold in standard leagues because of his safe role in Orlando.
February 26, 2020, 11:03 pmKendrick NunnPG, Miami Heat
Despite the return of Jimmy Butler on Wednesday, Kendrick Nunn was unperturbed and kept his foot on the gas for a team-high 24 points on 9-of-19 shooting, plus two rebounds, two 3s and six assists.
Nunn's shooting slump is now a distant memory with him scoring 20 or more points in three straight games now. He's a reasonably efficient scorer with .445 from the field on the season, so feel free to ride him out in standard leagues while the heater is on.
February 26, 2020, 10:59 pmKristaps PorzingisPF-C, Dallas Mavericks
Kristaps Porzingis had a stellar night on Wednesday, finishing with 28 points (8-14 FG, 4-8 3PT), 12 rebounds, one assist, two steals and three blocks.
Porzingis has the ability to contribute across the stat line, as witnessed in tonight's performance. He's had some ups and downs this season, but over the last two months as been a top-15 player in 9-cat leagues.
February 26, 2020, 10:56 pmJimmy ButlerSG, Miami Heat
Jimmy Butler (personal) returned to action on Wednesday after missing two games and showed a bit of rust with 4-for-10 shooting from the field but made up for it with 10-of-11 shooting from the line for 18 points, four rebounds and nine assists.
The near-double-double from Butler was an acceptable production from him, but the lack of any cash counters (threes, steals, blocks) left owners wanting. In the end, he's back and not those other numbers should find their way onto the stat sheet sooner than later, so no worries here.
February 26, 2020, 10:56 pmAaron GordonPF, Orlando Magic
Aaron Gordon was all over the floor on Wednesday, scoring 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting with 10 boards, six assists, one steal, three blocks on three triples in a 130-120 win vs. the Hawks.
Gordon is having one of the best stretches of his career in the month of February, averaging 19.9 points, 9.0 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.9 blocks and 2.0 threes while shooting .483 from the field. That across-the-board production has him inside the top-20 during that stretch. Gordon is still outside the top-120 on the season despite his epic February. He is a sell-high candidate, but should stay inside the top-75 ROS.
February 26, 2020, 10:55 pmDorian Finney-SmithSF, Dallas Mavericks
Dorian Finney-Smith did a bit of everything on Wednesday night, ending with 14 points (5-7 FG, 2-4 3PT), four rebounds, one assist, two steal and three blocks.
DFS has been checking many boxes across the categories for fantasy owners in recent outings. The defensive output tonight is particularly attractive, although not to be expected often. He is worth a look for teams that have an opening at the end of their roster.
February 26, 2020, 10:46 pmNaz ReidC, Minnesota Timberwolves
Naz Reid got bitten by the foul-trouble bug on Wednesday (five fouls) and limited to playing just 19 minutes and producing nine points on 4-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, one steal and one block.
Reid's upside is tantalizing, there's no question about that. He can do it all, but may not be ready for high-level pro play just yet. Due to his lack of reliable, consistent production, Reid is best suited as a guy to own in 16-teamers or deeper.
February 26, 2020, 10:46 pmMohamed BambaC, Orlando Magic
Mohamed Bamba double-doubled vs. the Hawks on Wednesday with 15 points (4-of-7 from the field), 10 boards, four blocks and three triples in 17 minutes.
The per-minute production was massive and Bamba tied his career high in points. Bamba is not an add despite the impressive performance. He hasn't played over 20 minutes in a single game in February and is a blocks streamer only in standard leagues. He could be rostered as a blocks specialist in 16-team leagues as he is averaging 2.2 blocks per game over the past month.
February 26, 2020, 10:40 pmJordan McLaughlinPG, Minnesota Timberwolves
Jordan McLaughlin saw 22 minutes off the bench on Wednesday and was able to be productive with 13 points (4-of-5 shooting), two 3s, five assists, one rebound and three steals, despite an offensive explosion by D'Angelo Russell.
McLaughlin is someone you should stick with in deep leagues, whether or not D-Lo is healthy. In tonight's game, McLaughlin was there to close out this nail-biter of a game and even successfully made a layup in the dying seconds of the contest. He's good for some efficient scoring, threes and some assists.
February 26, 2020, 10:39 pmBruno FernandoPF, Atlanta Hawks
Bruno Fernando started on Wednesday and scored 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting with nine boards and one steal in 22 minutes.
Fernando got the start with Dewayne Dedmon (right elbow pain) sitting out. Fernando can be streamed for field goal percentage, rebounds and blocks while Dedmon is sidelined and should return to the waiver wire once Dedmon returns. Dedmon owners should hold on through his absence if they can, as he is likely to post standard-league value when he returns.
