ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that an MRI on Anthony Davis‘ groin came back negative and that the big man is day-to-day and could return in the near future.
Bullet dodged for Davis, who looked to be in some very serious pain when he went down with the injury. Owners don’t need to make earth-moving contingency plans any more, as their top-5 stud should be back before too long. Davis has a long history of injuries both serious and nagging, so hopefully he can stay healthy as the Pelicans push for the postseason. To his credit, he did a great job staying on the court last year and has avoided serious troubles so far this season. The team went on to add that Davis has been diagnosed with a left adductor strain. He might not be back at full speed immediately and makes for a tough start this week, but it’s not going to take him long to get back to dominant form.
