Brandon Ingram will be re-evaluated in a week after an MRI confirmed that he’s dealing with a strained groin.
The team performed the MRI yesterday, which does leave Ingram with a chance to play on Sunday against the Cavs. Those odds are long, however, and owners with weekly lineup locks simply have to bench the young forward. He was posting fantastic early-round numbers prior to the injury so it’s a big blow. Kyle Kuzma will start in the interim and Isaiah Thomas should see some extra shots headed his way. This will also result in some more work for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Julius Randle. All those guys should be in all lineups going forward, of course.
