Coach Tom Thibodeau said that Nemanja Bjelica is a critical piece for the Wolves, and the Yugoslavian forward is rehabbing from his foot injury.
Bjelica was a reportedly one of Thibs’ favorites last year so it’s no surprise to hear him say that. He averaged 18.3 minutes per game across 65 contests last year, posting 6.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.9 threes per game. Bjelica has a sneaky fantasy-friendly stat set and can hop onto the radar when he gets enough minutes. A fractured navicular bone ended his season in mid-March but he should be back for this upcoming season. He’ll likely remain a pillar of Minnesota’s second units though it depends on what other moves are made this summer.
